Growing European power group meets this month

The European Power Transmission Distributors Association, founded in 1998, has grown to represent 114 distributor companies, 67 manufacturers, and seven association members. The association expects continued expansion as members from Eastern European countries have joined the European Union. EPTDA was established to address market changes in the EU, specifically the introduction of the Euro and the elimination of many restrictions on regional cross-border trade.

The EPTDA 2005 Convention will be held Sept. 28-30 in Prague, Czech Republic. Speakers include Dr. Daniel Thorniley, senior global economist of the Economic Group's Economist Corporate Network, who will discuss the impact of EU expansion; Joseph DiVanna, author and consultant, who will discuss project management; and Dr. Dirk Morschett, Saarland University Institute of Commerce and International Marketing, Saarland, Germany, who will describe alliance in the distribution sector.

Information about EPTDA and the 2005 convention will be found on Web site www .eptda.erg.
