Electrical industry confidence rises
The Electroindustry Business Confidence Index for current North American business conditions rebounded in January following two consecutive months of decline, reports the National Electrical Manufacturers Association, which compiled the data. At 41.3, January's mark falls short of the 50-point threshold indicating growth in the industry. "The result suggests that the rate of deterioration of electroindustry business conditions slowed considerably relative to December," according to the association. The Electroindustry Business Confidence Index gauges the business confidence of the electrical industry in Asia, Europe, North America, and Latin America. It is based on a monthly survey of senior managers at NEMA member companies.
