Comment sought on NETA adoptions

The American National Standards Institute is soliciting public comment by March 25 on adoption of BSR/NETA ATS-200x, NETA Acceptance Testing Specifications for Electrical Power Distribution Equipment and Systems.

The document specifies field test procedures, personnel, and requirements for assessing electrical system reliability and suitability for service.

The International Electrotechnical Commission has announced the issuance of the following:

* IECEX 01 Ed. 3.0 en:2007, IEC Scheme for Certification to Standards Relating to Equipment for Use in Explosive Atmospheres (IECEx Scheme)-Basic Rules.

* IECEX 04 Ed. 1.0 en:2007, IEC Scheme for Certification to Standards Relating to Equipment for Use in Explosive Atmospheres (IECEx Scheme)IECEx Conformity Mark Licensing System-Regulations.

Both are available as free downloads from www.ansi.org .

Revised White Book has been issued by IEEE

The Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers has revised IEEE Standard 602-1996, Recommended Practice for Electric Systems in Health Care Facilities, better known as the White Book (one of the Color Book series).
