Its 580 pages list more than 10,000 Baldor-Reliance motor ratings, including premium efficiency, severe and inverter/vector duty, brake, farm, explosion-proof, and d-c, in horsepower ratings from 1/50 to 1,500. Also included are drive products from ½ through 800 hp, gearmotors and gear products, motor accessories, grinders, and generators. A "Mod Express" section explains over 100 common product modifications.
A 4-page brochure introduces the FirstLine 924 emergency lighting UPS for 8 to 16 kilowatt applications, featuring on-line double-conversion central inverter to supply any lighting system including incandescent, fluorescent (magnetic or electronic ballasts), HID, HSD, and MH. Unit provides minimum 90 minutes of output. After return of normal power, unit automatically recharges batteries. Input voltage range is 208 or 480 V ±20%; output voltage held within ±1% at full load, with THD 5% or less for non-linear loads, 3 percent maximum for linear loads.

Power source sections deal with stick, TIG, MIG, multi-process, advanced process, and engine-driven welders. Each section begins with a selection guide, and color-coded pages describe each machine. A bulletin describing 13 Circuit Alert electrical hand tools is being offered by Gardner Bender, 6100 N. Baker Rd., Milwaukee, Wis. 53209; (800) 624-5242. Lineman's pliers, wire strippers, screwdrivers, work lights, and knives all include a snap-in voltage sensor to warn of the presence of live circuits using both flashing light and beeping sound. Sensor may also be used separately.
