"It's one of the biggest motivators," said Ist Sgt. Darron Shaw of the newspapers and packages from home.
Shaw has the duty of distributing the mail to C Company every day it comes in. "It keeps people going," he said.
Their orders to serve at the Sinai post state that the mission ends in January, but there's a small clause that says the military can keep them on duty for two years if it has to.
But no one believes it will come to that. "They're doing a good job," said Lt. Col. Dan Cameron, 1-186th commander, "but they're ready to come home."
