Award Winner Tapped for Membership Chairman

Lt. Col. Richard O'Leary, a 17-year member of the Delaware Air Guard and a recipient last year of the NGAUS Patrick Henry Award (the civilian counterpart to the NGAUS Distinguished Service Medal) is the new chairman of the NGAUS Membership Committee-a committee on which he has served for two years.

O'Leary brings a wealth of civilian human resource experience to the position. He now serves as director of human resources and diversity for science and technology at Corning. Before joining Corning in 2001, O'Leary served as vice president for human resources at Cytometrics Inc., a biomedical technology company in Philadelphia.

In addition, O'Leary is an adjunct faculty member at the University of New Jersey School of Medicine and also serves on the boards of the Corning Rotary, Watson Homestead and the Science and Discovery Center.

O'Leary's three-year term as membership chairman expires Dec. 31, 2006.
