THOMAS B. STOUT, Ph.D., P.E., is a post-doctoral research associate with the Center for Transportation Research and Education (CTRE) at Iowa State University. He holds a B.S.E. in civil engineering from Sacramento State College, an M.S. in civil engineering from the University of Nebraska and a Ph.D. in civil engineering from Iowa State University. He has more than 30 years of professional experience in civil and transportation engineering and is a member of ITE.

MICHAEL D. PAWLOVICH, Ph.D., P.E., is a traffic safety engineer with the Iowa Department of Transportation Office of Traffic and Safety. Prior to that, he worked as a graduate student at Iowa State University with CTRE, where he earned his Ph.D. in civil engineering.

REGINALD R. SOULEYRETTE, Ph.D., P.E., is Gerald and Audrey Professor of civil engineering at Iowa State University, where he is director of Graduate Education and associate director for Transportation Planning and Information Systems at CTRE. He holds a B.S.C.E. and M.S.C.E. from the University of Texas at Austin and a Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley. He is co-chair of the Transportation Research Board committee on Spatial Data and Information Sciences and chair of the American Society of Civil Engineers Committee on Transportation Planning and Economics.

ALICIA CARRIQUIRY, Ph.D., is professor of statistics at Iowa State University, where she has also served as associate provost. Her research interests are in Bayesian statistics and general methods. She received a master's in animal science from the University of Illinois, a master's in statistics and a Ph.D. in statistics and animal genetics from Iowa State University.
