Short Bursts

Sea Power, Mar 2004

Adm. Vern Clark, chief of naval operations, finished off 2003 with a flurry of event appearances, with the promise of more of the same in 2004. Speaking to a full house at a welcome breakfast in his honor in San Diego in late November, Clark said he plans to participate in four Navy League events during the coming year, San Diego Council member James Kelly reported in the council's Blue & Gold newsletter. The breakfast was sponsored by the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs. Council. A few weeks after the San Diego event, Clark spoke Dec. 7 before the Phoenix Council.
