Everything you ever wanted to know about intrinsic safety? Maybe not, but if you need much more you must be specializing. This is a well-organized site providing a six-part series on the basics of intrinsic safety from introductory articles to installation techniques. A liberal use of instructive diagrams makes this site a must-visit for the safety conscious. If you are looking for a quick view of the technology, each of the six parts contains an abstract, an intoduction, and a conclusion. For a deeper understanding, delve into the articles. They do an excellent job of getting you up to speed on the fundamentals. Perhaps the best thing about this site is that Crouse-Hinds has gone out of its way to keep each section noncommercial. You can easily get to Crouse-Hinds products but they don't get in the way of the discussion.
