Ex-Kodak standards chief to head ISA S&P staff

InTech, Oct 1997

Research Triangle Park, N.C.-James D. (Jim) Converse, former director of corporate standards for Eastman Kodak, has been named director of ISA's Standards and Technical Services Department. He succeeds Quentin Clark, who resigned from ISA to pursue another business opportunity.

Converse, who had been with Kodak for 30 years, has been active in the standards community within both the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM). He has been Kodak's representative to the ANSI Company Member Council and to two standards management boards; is a member and the vice chair of ANSI's Executive Standards Council; and is a member of the ASTM Board of Directors.

"Jim is well thought of by ANSI and ASTM leaders. He is a personable, consensus-building type of person who conducts himself in a highly professional manner. We are very pleased to have a person of his caliber to lead ISAs standards staff," said Glenn F. Harvey, ISA's executive director.
