The European Union Commission cleared IBM's $3.5 billion purchase of PricewaterhouseCooper's consulting unit. The transaction has already been cleared by U.S. antitrust regulators, and has received the blessing of PricewaterhouseCooper's shareholders.
JetBlue Airways Corp. has received antitrust clearance from the Federal Trade Commission for its proposed acquisition of LiveTV, the in-flight broadcaster that JetBlue uses on all its flights.
Pentair Inc. received antitrust clearance from the FTC for its proposed acquisition of Plymouth Products Inc. from USF Consumer & Commercial WaterGroup, a unit of Vivendi Environment SA. Plymouth Products makes water filtration systems.
