Horses, The

Scandinavian Review, Summer 2003 by Forsstrom, Tua

among horses I remember the fresh

smell of ammonia and

melting snow, the green moon

over the green snow's crust, a rat

creaking in the hay room, how I shivered

in my overalls and wool cap toward

morning and how calmly the horses slept
