RAIN/REGNEN, THE
Scandinavian Review, Spring 2009 by Nordbrandt, Henrik
It's raining.
And because it's raining
it's never done anything but rain.
There is in truth
nothing other than rain
and all dreams
are about the fact that it's raining.
And it's in no small part my own fault
that it's raining.
It's my fault
because it's my fault I was born.
I was born because I myself
have lied about rain:
"Then the sun broke out
and lit up a white gable"
I said one time.
It was a lie.
And therefore I was born
because it is raining.
And so it rains.
Do you understand now
how I get in rainy weather?
REGNEN
Det regner.
Og fordi det regner
har det aldrig gjort andet end at regne.
Der er i virkeligheden
intet andet end regn
og alle dwmme
handler om, at det regner.
Og det er ikke mindst min skyld
at det regner.
Det er min skyld
tordi det er mind skyld, at ieg er blevet fadt.
Jeg er blevet ftsdt, tordi ieg har lejet
om selve regnen:
"Pludseiig bryder solen fem
og toender en hvid gavl.'
har jeg engang sagt.
Det er iagn.
Derfor er jeg blevet ladt
fordi det regner.
Sadan regner det.
Har I sa forstaet
hvordan jeg har det i regnvejr?
