Carrier options galore at Trans-Gesco
Canadian Forest Industries, Sep/Oct 2003
Visitors to the Trans-Gesco booth were graced with a host of new purpose-built forestry carriers, including the new 300 Series Trans-Gesco zero tail swing bunchers. Models are available in both D7G and D6D versions, as well as with or without cab levelling. The powerful Mercedes driven machines weigh under 63 000 lb, and boast tractive efforts of 70 000 lb. Reach is up to 30.5 ft. Also on site was Pat Crawford's latest baby - the TiberPro TB620-E Harvester. The rubber-tired machine weighs just 47 500 lb, but is driven by a Cummins 300-hp engine and offers a reach of almost 31 feet. Ground clearance is 28 inches, and like the Trans-Gesco bunchers, the TB620-E is controlled by an IQAN system. Several are already operating in the US, while the logfor machine is now on Demo in eastern Canada.
