Hakmet shows off small-scale side, making lumber, firewood

Canadian Forest Industries, Sep/Oct 2003

Known for its popular Keto track-feed harvesting heads, Hakmet took advantage of logfor's outside displays to show some of its small-scale forestry and value-added tools in action. A big crowd pleaser was the supplier's mechanized fire-wood processor, a device capable of bucking, splitting and loading firewood non-stop, depending on the model chosen. Also on active duty was an Oscar 18[Symbol Not Transcribed] [straight double quote] portable bandsaw mill, a low-cost unit built by Hud-son Forest Equipment and sold and serviced by Hakmet. Also available in 30 and 36 inch models with 10 or 16 hp Briggs & Stratton engines, the 18[Symbol Not Transcribed] [straight double quote] version is priced well for the woodlot hobbyist. Hakmet also offers Nokka loaders/trailers, Meri crushers, Bracke scarifiers, Logmer cranes, the ProSilva thinning harvester, etc...
