Measurement Devices Ltd (MDL) - A Scottish based laser manufacturer - launched its new ForestAce[Symbol Not Transcribed] [registered symbol] Hypsometer at this year's American Foresters Convention in Buffalo, NY. MDL bills the ForestAce[Symbol Not Transcribed] [registered symbol] as an amazing pocket-size laser product that remotely measures the height, lean and diameter of trees. An onboard computer, graphic display and data memory eliminates the need for external loggers and computers. This gives the ForestAce[Symbol Not Transcribed] [registered symbol] the ability to instantly calculate and display log lengths and tree volumes, enabling foresters and technicians to identify target trees. ForestAce[Symbol Not Transcribed] [registered symbol] Hypsometer is the smallest (13.5cm L [Symbol Not Transcribed] [times] 10.3cm H [Symbol Not Transcribed] [times] 5.5cm W) and lightest (13.66 oz) unit on the market, MDL adds.
