Daewoo has 11 new excavators

Canadian Forest Industries, Nov/Dec 2003

Daewoo Heavy Industries America Corp. has introduced a new line-up of 11 crawler and wheel excavators, all with new features and Tier II engines. The Solar V Series boasts a slew of cost-saving features, Daewoo says, improving reliability, usability, and owner ROI. In the cab, improvements include better visibility thanks to a slightly bigger cab and more glass area. The cabs also use Daewoo's own fluid-filled shock isolation system to cut noise, vibration and shock, and has a new car-style high-output HVAC system. Topping it off is a user-friendly instrument panel. The hydraulic system has been re-vamped and tied to easy-to-use joystick controls, while swing torque is up 14%.
