Kesla and Sumitomo ink harvester deal

Finnish-based Kesla Oyj and Japanese excavator maker Sumitomo Construction Machinery have agreed to co-operate in the marketing of excavatorbased harvesters using Kesla's line of harvesting heads. The agreement includes the development of excavator-based packages suitable to timber harvesting that will challenge purpose-built machines on both build quality and price. Kesla is a leading cut-to-length attachment and loader manufacturer, while Sumitomo makes over 9,000 excavators annually.
