C-Series has new Volvo engines & more

Volvo says the arrival of its C-Series excavators in North America provides customers with a slew of on-site advantages. These include the new Volvo Tier III engines with V-ACT (Volvo Advanced Combustion Turbo) that give high torque at low revs for reduced fuel consumption. Other features include advanced hydraulic flow with boom, arm and swing priority for fast cycle times, as well as a drive-on-demand-only fan to further reduce fuel consumption. Volvo says the new cab combines better controls with more glass, more space, less noise and less vibration, all designed to keep operators at peak productivity longer.
