Kwei Tang is Professor of Management in the Krannert Graduate School of Management at Purdue University. He received a B.S. from National Chiao Tung University of Taiwan, an M.S. from Bowling Green State University, and a Ph.D. in management science from Purdue University. Dr. Tang is a recipient of the 1998 Distinguished Alumni Award from National Chiao Tung University and the 1988 Presidential Young Investigator Award from the National Science Foundation. He is the department editor of IIE Transactions on On-line Quality Control, an area editor of Production and Operations Management and International Journal of Operations and Quantitative Management. Before joining Krannert School in 2000, he was E. J. Ourso Professor of Business Analysis at Louisiana State University. He has published over sixty research papers in Management Science, Operations Research, Technometrics, Naval Research Logistics, IIE Transactions, Decision Sciences, and other journals. His current research interests include supply chain management, data mining, and quality management.
