Builder involved in three bank projects

Kirk Gross Company of Waterloo announced its involvement in three new bank projects in Iowa and Minnesota. The Iowa projects are in Panora and Postville, while the third project is in the central-Minnesota community of Baxter.

Roger D. Underwood, president of Guthrie County State Bank in Guthrie Center, announced the construction/remodeling of a new facility in Panora. The bank has purchased a 4,800-square-foot building at 505 East Main that will undergo a major renovation with new offices, lobby area, teller stations and remote drive-up facility. The renovation will include the removal of the entire roof structure and incorporate a new roof system and design. A portion of the building will house Lake Panorama Realty which recently merged with the bank.

Ronald E. Taylor, president of the Postville State Bank, has announced the completion of a remodeling project to its existing facility. The project included a total redecorating with new wall coverings and flooring throughout the building. The main level has been enhanced with a new teller counter and also new work stations in the bookkeeping department.

James T. Whiting, chairman of Brainerd National Bank in Baxter, announced the construction/remodeling of two new bank branches at food stores in Cross Lake and Baxter. The Cross Lake facility will be located in Reed's Market, while the Baxter facility will be located in Super One Foods. Each facility will be conveniently located within the store and provide full banking services, including a drive-up teller station.
