Leadership at Decorah bank changes

Northwestern Financial Review, Nov 22, 1997

Douglas R. Hill has retired from Community First National Bank of Decorah and Protivin. His last day at the bank was Oct. 31. Hill held various positions in the banking and financial services industry for more than 25 years. He joined Decorah State Bank/Community First National Bank in 1993 when he accepted the position of president following the retirement of Bud Willer.

"I've enjoyed my relationship with this fine financial institution," Hill said. "Linda and I consider Decorah and northeast Iowa our home and plan to remain here and stay involved in various community activities. Linda and I look forward to traveling and spending more time with our children."

John P. Satrom has been elected to succeed Hill as president of the bank. Satrom, who joined the bank in 1995, had been senior vice president and senior lending officer. Prior to moving to Decorah, Satrom served in various capacities with Community First National Bank in Wahpeton, N.D.
