Dennison Bank gets new name

The State Bank of Dennison, Minn., chartered in 1906, has changed its name to Eagle Valley Bank. The new name was adopted on Nov. 17. It also has a new office in Stillwater, which opened Nov. 24. The bank is owned by Financial Services of St. Croix Falls, Inc., St. Croix Falls, Wis. Curtis E. Oseby is president of the bank and Sam Boatman is vice president-office manager at the Stillwater location.

Norwest Corporation has received regulatory approval from the Federal Reserve System to acquire Fidelity Bancshares, Inc., of Fort Worth, Texas. The company's subsidiary holding company, Fidelity Bancorporation, Inc., of Dover, Del., owns Fidelity Bank & Trust, N.A. Fort Worth.

Crookston National Bank opened its new 6,600-square-foot full service office. James Ingeman is president.

First Security Bank in Byron opened its first branch office in Rochester. The bank renovated a former savings and loan building.

First American Bank of Alexandria, Brainerd, Breckenridge, Detroit Lakes, International Falls, Southwest, South St. Paul, and Wilmar all converted from state to national charters last year.

Onsgard State Bank, Spring Grove, has changed its name to Jennings State Bank. The change reflects the name of the bank's owners, Paul, Dave and Steve Jennings.
