Donation supports housing effort

Northwestern Financial Review, Jan 15, 2001

Pohlad Family Charities recently donated $500,000 to First Homes, a public-private partnership dedicated to building starter homes in the Rochester, Minn., area. The donation, the largest single grant made by Pohlad Family Charities outside the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, will support construction on rental town homes and apartments in Rochester, Pine Island and Hayfield.

Construction is expected to be completed in 2001. The donation will be backed by marketing and employee volunteer support from the Pohlad-owned Marquette Bank Rochester, said Mike Bue, president, Marquette Bank Rochester.
