UMB bank elects Menke new regional president

Charles D. "Chuck" Menke was elected regional president of the Central Missouri division of UMB Bank, Columbia, Mo. UMB is a subsidiary of UMB Financial Corp., Kansas City, Mo. The company owns and operates 170 banking centers and offices throughout Missouri, Illinois, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma and Nebraska. Menke will be responsible for overseeing the market share growth, profitability and personnel of UMB's Columbia, Jefferson City and Boonville banking centers.

Menke has more than 30 years of experience in investments and banking. Before joining UMB Bank, Menke was a financial advisor for Merrill Lynch in Columbia. During his career, he has also worked for First National Bank & Trust in Columbia as executive vice president.

Menke has an undergraduate degree in economics from Central College in Pella, Iowa. He completed a graduate degree in management at the University of Wisconsin in Whitewater. In addition, he is a graduate of the School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin.

Menke is a member of the Columbia Chamber of Commerce where he serves on the finance committee and is an ambassador. He is also chair of the Boy Scouts' Great River Council Annual Benefit Golf Tournament and he has served as president of the Country Club of Missouri. Menke has also served as a division chair of the United Way and president of the Rotary Club.
