James W. Bianco, 73, owner/president of the First National Bank of Cass Lake, Minn., died May 4, 2001 after a year-long battle against acute leukemia. His career in banking began in the mid 1950s at The Northwestern Bank of Commerce in Duluth, Minn. In 1967, he purchased the First National Bank in Cass Lake, where he served as chairman and president until his death.
