Bremer to mover service center

Northwestern Financial Review, May 1-May 14, 2002

Brewer Financial Corp., St. Paul, Minn., has signed a purchase agreement, and plans to relocate and expand its current Brewer Service Center from West St. Paul to Lake Elmo, Minn.

The Brewer Service Center was established with 88 employees in 1995 at its current location. Today, the center has more than 250 employees and has outgrown its 30,000square-foot facility. The new 100,000-square-foot facility in Lake Elmo will accommodate more than 300 employees while allowing Brewer to consolidate its central operations. The center will generate operational and technical support including deposit operations, loan operations, mortgage processing, risk management, technology and be the call center for Brewer's 11 bank charters across the three-state region.

"Since the Service Center was first established, Brewer has nearly doubled in size through internal growth and acquisitions," said Stan Dardis, president and CEO. "Our new location will provide us an opportunity to enhance our operational capabilities."

The $5.1 billion Brewer has a target occupancy date of October with a move-in date in November. Brewer plans to sell its current Service Center building.
