ABA names member relations consultants in Minnesota

The American Bankers Association has appointed Doug Bultman, former president of Minnwest Bank in Redwood Falls, Minn., and John Stone, former president of Pine Country Bank in Royalton, Minn., as ABA Member Relations Consultants.
In these positions, Bultman and Stone will be the ABA's key representatives for Washington and will work closely with the Minnesota Bankers Association. Their primary responsibilities include membership development, retention and conveying the priorities of Minnesota bankers to the ABA.
Bultman has extensive experience with the MBA, serving as president in 1995 and on several committees during his two terms on the MBA board of directors. He is a lifelong resident of southwest Minnesota, working as an agricultural banker for more than 37 years. He joined Minnwest Bank in 1982 and retired in October 2002.
Stone served as president of a rural agricultural bank for more than 20 years before retiring in 2002. He was also active with MBA, chairing its agricultural committee and serving on several other committees throughout his career. Stone continues to serve on boards in the Little Falls and Alexandria communities, including the Pine Country Bank Board of Directors.
Todd T. Trailer joined First National Bank, Shakopee, Minn., as a real estate loan officer. Trexler will have responsibility for all residential real estate lending activity for First National Bank in the Shakopee market. Traxler began his career in the financial services industry, as a mortgage broker with EMortgage Center, located in Eden Prairie, Minn. Traxler has a bachelor of science degree in business management from St. John's University, Collegeville, Minn.
Thomas L. Payne joined Citizens Independent Bank, Plymouth, Minn., as assistant vice president of commercial banking. Payne is responsible for working with business owners in the western Twin Cities area. Payne spent five years with Wells Fargo in the correspondent banking division as a credit analyst. Payne is an honors graduate of the University of Iowa, Iowa City, and graduated from the Iowa School of Banking and continues to take banking courses from the Risk Management Association.
Joan M. Kallenberg joined Citizens Independent Bank , Robbinsdale, Minn., as assistant vice president of commercial banking. Kallenberg is responsible for developing relationships with small and emerging companies in the northern and western Twin Cities area. Kallenberg has nearly 15 years of experience in commercial lending and mortgage banking. Kallenberg was a business banking officer with TCF National Bank of St. Anthony, Minn. Kallenberg has completed coursework in commercial lending from RMA and has an insurance license in Minnesota
Howard Palmer has been hired as a commercial lender for Bank Center First, Bismarck, N.D. Palmer started his banking career with the N.D. Department of Banking in 1979 as a bank examiner. Palmer worked for Norwest Bank in Minneapolis as a credit examiner, commercial lender and credit department manager. Palmer, most recently spent 10 years as a commercial lender with Bremer Bank, Minot, N.D.
