Iowa's First Central to open Eldridge office

Northwestern Financial Review, Jun 15-Jun 30, 2003

First Central State Bank, DeWitt, announced plans to expand with a new full-service bank in Eldridge, Iowa.

"As a resident of Eldridge, I am pleased to be a part of a team delivering community bank services to the Scott County area," said Jamie Burt, executive vice president, who will manage the new 2,000-square-foot office along with First Central's Long Grove and LeClaire offices. "Through our Long Grove office, we have enjoyed many strong and valuable relationships with businesses and residents of the North Scott area."

The bank will offer two drive-through lanes, a drive-up automatic teller machine and a complete range of financial products and services.

First Central, established in 1967, is part of Ohnward Bancshares, a four-bank, $500 million holding company that also operates Maquoketa State Bank in Maquoketa, Tri-County Bank and Trust in Cascade, and Gateway State Bank in Clinton.

Brig Tubbs, First Central's chief executive officer, said Eldridge was a natural fit for the bank. "It is a dynamic community and we are excited to be a part of it," he said. "We look forward to opening and demonstrating our commitment to service excellence and community involvement."
