Minnesota bank expands with mortgage office
Northwestern Financial Review, Jul 1-Jul 14, 2003
First National Bank of Chaska, Minn., recently opened a mortgage office outside its southwestern Minneapolis suburban market. The mortgage office, located in St. Peter, Minn., is the bank's attempt to capture the increased demand for mortgage services in the south central portion of Minnesota. One lender staffs the St. Peter office.
"The new St. Peter mortgage office is keenly focused on delivering the highest quality experience," said Brian Weimer, the bank's president.
Although mortgage services are now offered at First National Bank of Chaska's three locations, the bank saw an opportunity for growth with mortgage rates at their lowest in 40 years. "We are thrilled by this expansion and will continue to support our Chaska and Shakopee clients while working to build relationships with clients in the St. Peter area," said Kim Jordahl, chief credit officer.
The separate mortgage office is the first for the $182 million bank and the second for Klein Financial Inc., the holding company that owns First National Bank of Chaska.
St. Peter is located on the banks of the Minnesota River approximately 40 miles southwest of Chaska.
