Northwestern Financial Review, Jul 15-Jul 31, 2003
The Kansas Bankers Association and the Nebraska Bankers Association have awarded two scholarships to the Schools of Banking's Advanced School of Banking. Brian Andersen, operations officer for Horizon Bank, Waverly, Neb., and Karen Mueller, customer service representative, head teller and proof supervisor for Emprise Bank, Lawrence, Kan., are award recipients.
Andersen and Mueller recently graduated from the School of Banking Fundamentals, also offered by the Schools of Banking. Their award selection was based upon class involvement, demonstrated leadership abilities, exam scores and scholarship interest.
Andersen, who has worked at Horizon Bank since 2000, has a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Mueller has worked at Emprise Bank for three years.
