New Farm Credit system rules adopted

Northwestern Financial Review, Aug 1-Aug 14, 2003

The Farm Credit Administration Board has approved a proposed rule designed to increase the flow of credit to farmers, ranchers, and aquatic producers and harvesters by promoting greater cooperation between Farm Credit System and non-system lenders. The proposed rule would amend FCA regulations governing the funding and discount relationship between other financing institutions and Farm Credit System banks.

The rule also called for the revision of certain capital regulations.
