CBA acquires permanent home
Northwestern Financial Review, Aug 15-Aug 31, 2003
The Colorado Bankers Association moved to a new location near the state capitol August 11. The new, 6,000-square-foot space was purchased by the association to facilitate lobbying, allow for growth options, and give the group adequate space for its work combating bank fraud, said Don Childears, the association's president and CEO. The CBA previously leased space in central downtown.
"We desired a permanent home," Childears commented, "and with the purchase of an entire floor near the capitol, we have one." Along with an entire fourth floor of the building at One Sherman Place, CBA gained both covered and uncovered parking spaces, a convenience for bankers.
"We have designed the space around our lobbying efforts," Childears said. Two large, connecting conference rooms will allow CBA to host daily luncheons for legislators. CBA invites two or three legislators to lunch with small groups of bankers who are their constituents. "This type of setting fits for our legislators," Childears said.
The address of CBA's new office is 140 East 19th Ave., Suite 400, Denver, CoIo., 80203. The association's phone number remains unchanged.
