Maplewood, Minn., bank names Crawford Exec VP

* Barry R. Crawford has joined Washington County Bank, Maplewood, Minn., as executive vice president, chief operating officer and chief financial officer. Crawford is responsible for commercial lending, financial strategy and reporting, balance sheet management, risk management, operations and technology. Crawford also has been elected to the board of directors for the bank and the holding company.
Prior to joining Washington County Bank, Crawford was senior vice president and CFO of 215 Holding Co., a community bank holding company that operates First Farmers & Merchants Banks in 11 Minnesota communities. Before that, Crawford was with McGladrey and Pullen, LLP in its Minneapolis/St. Paul office, serving as partner in charge of the financial institutions practice.
* Jeff H. Sanderson recently joined Citizens Independent Bank, Robbinsdale, Minn., as vice president/ commercial banking. Sanderson joins Citizens Bank with more than 25 years in the community banking industry, in a variety of executive positions including branch management, credit and commercial lending. Sanderson is a graduate of the University of South Dakota and has a certificate from the University of Oklahoma's National Commercial Lending School.
*Terri Dooher Fleming has been appointed senior vice president for lending at St. Anthony Park Bank, St. Paul, Minn. Fleming has been employed at the bank since 1996, most recently in the position of vice president for commercial lending. Fleming brings more than 25 years of business banking experience.
*John Ziegelbauer has been named Grant Thornton's financial institutions industry practice partner-incharge. Grant Thornton is an accounting, tax and business advisory firm dedicated to serving the needs of middle-market companies, including community-based financial institutions. Ziegelbauer, who is based in Washington, D.C., will oversee Grant Thornton's financial institutions practice that serves clients nationally in the community bank, credit union, mortgage banking, and specialty finance areas. Ziegelbauer succeeds Paul Pustorino who stepped down to focus on the rapidly growing financial institutions practice in the northeast. Ziegelbauer has practiced public accounting for more than 16 years. Most recently, he served as Grant Thornton's director of financial institutions tax services. Ziegelbauer has a degree in accounting from Marquette University in Milwaukee, and has a master's of business administration degree, with a specialization in financial management, from the University of Chicago.
* Lana Hoffschneider recently joined Cornerstone Bank in Waco, Neb., as assistant manager. Hoffschneider graduated from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln with a major in agricultural science and agribusiness. Hoffschneider has been employed at Fort Dodge Animal Health Company and most recently as a loan officer for Farm Credit Services of America. Hoffschneider also has a Nebraska real estate sales license.
