Northwest Financial Corp., Spencer, Iowa, filed to acquire First Heartland Bancorp., Sioux Center, Iowa, and thereby acquire First National Bank of Sioux Center.

Peoples State Bank of Truman, Inc., Truman, Minn., filed to merge with Martin County National Bank of Fairmont, Minn., and establish a branch in Fairmont.

Liberty First Bancshares, Inc., Liberty, Mo., filed to become a bank holding company through the acquisition of Liberty First Bank, Liberty.
