Northwestern Financial Review, Feb 15-Feb 29, 2004

Community First Bankshares, Inc., Fargo, N.D. has made two more insurance buys, bringing to 55 the number of its locations with an insurance presence. The bank recently announced it was acquiring Arnold & Arnold, Inc., Littleton, Colo., along with a separate book of business from Colorado Benefit Services, Inc., Parker, Colo. These acquisitions follow on the heels of the organization buying Summit Insurance Group, Frisco, Colo., in December.

"Insurance continues to be one of the key elements in our solutions-based approach to meeting clients' needs," said Mark Anderson, the bank's president and chief executive officer.

The $5.5 billion Community First Bancshares has a banking presence in 136 communities scattered throughout Arizona, California, Colorado, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
