Terry Saber, co-founder of online strategic planning assessment tool, BancPlan, has sold her share of the venture to the firm's CEO/CFO Scott Jones. Saber said she and her partner, Ann Jones, had made a three-year commitment to getting the strategic assessment tool up and running. Jones' husband, longtime Minnesota banker Scott Jones, joined BancPlan late in 2002.
"My role with BancPlan had been in marketing and ramping up the volume," Saber said. The sale of her interest in the venture became effective January 1. "I am a licensed provider of the BancPlan assessment," she added, saying that she uses the assessment tool as often now as she did when part of the BancPlan organization.
"What I really missed was the relationships I'd developed in consulting," Saber said of her return to full-time consulting firm Saber & Associates. Prior to developing the online assessment tool, Saber consulted with community banks on strategic planning and human resource development for a dozen years. "Consulting had been my passion. That's what I've returned to," she said.
