NACHA reports ACH transactions up

lume on the Automated Clearing House Network grew by more than 20 percent in the first quarter of 2004, according- to statistics released by NACHA. That growth translates into more than 2.14 billion transactions worth more than $5.27 trillion. Debit card transactions increased at a faster rate - 32.7 percent - compared with credit card transactions that were up 11.3 percent from the same period in 2003.
