Greenspan confirmed for fifth term

>The U.S. Senate confirmed Alan Greenspan for his fifth, four-year term as Federal Reserve chairman. In testimony before the Senate Banking Committee, Greenspan said the Fed learned a lot from the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11 on how a sophisticated payments system functions under stress and pledged to bolster the financial infrastructure to withstand another significant terrorist attack in the United States.
