The Minnesota Bankers Association elected the following officers for 2005-2006 at its annual convention in Duluth, June 26-28: Chairman Greg Burger, Minnwest Bank Luverne; Chairman-Elect Vern Smith, First National Bank of Deerwood; and Treasurer Steve Huston, BANKWEST, Rockford. Immediate past chairman is Gary Geiger, Heritage Bank, Willmar. Joining the MBA board are Laura Warne, Home State Bank, Kandiyohi, and Alisha Johnson, Highland Bank, St. Paul. Going off the board completing three-year terms are Dave Reiling, University National Bank, St. Paul, and Dale Lewis, Park State Bank, Duluth.

The Wisconsin Bankers Association elected the following leadership for 2005-2006: Chairman Tom Farrell, Peoples State Bank of Prairie du Chien; Chairman-Elect John Reinke, The Stephenson National Bank and Trust, Marinette; and Vice Chairman Gary Schaefer, Associated Bank South Central, Middleton. Michael Crowley Jr., Bank Mutual, Milwaukee is immediate past chairman. Joining the WBA board for three-year terms are: David Blohm American National Bank-Fox Cities, Appleton; Steven Burgess, State Bank of La Crosse; Robert Just, Jr., Mound City Bank, Platteville; Kathy Ostby, Southport Bank, Kenosha, and Daniel Shepard, Waukesha State Bank.

DIVIDENDS

First Business Financial Services, Inc., holding company of First Business Bank, Madison, Wis., announced an increase in the company's regular semi-annual cash dividend to 11.5 cents per share from 11 cents. Shareholders of record on July 1 received the dividend on July 15.
