* First National Bank, Omaha, Neb., announced:

James Stewart was promoted to senior vice president of corporate banking. With more than 36 years of financial and banking experience, Stewart joined First National Bank in 2002. Stewart manages commercial lenders along with the bank's renewable fuels group. Prior to joining First National Bank, Stewart spent 18 years with U.S. Bank and 13 years with Wells Fargo. Stewart has a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Nebraska, Omaha.

Bradley Brummund was promoted to vice president of corporate banking. Brummund joined First National Bank in 2000 and became a commercial credit analyst in 2001.

Brummund is responsible for business development and cross-selling products for corporate and ethanol production customers. Brummund has a bachelor's degree in economics and finance from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln.

Marc Wisdom was promoted to vice president of corporate banking. Wisdom has worked with First National Bank for more than five years as a management trainee and commercial credit analyst. Wisdom manages a $180 million loan portfolio. Wisdom has a bachelor's degree in business administration and finance from Nebraska Wesleyan University, and an MBA from Creighton University, Omaha.

Wendi EIliott was promoted to vice president of Community Banking. EIliott has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. EIliott joined First National Bank in 1999 as a commercial loan officer and was promoted to second vice president in 2002. Prior to joining First National, Elliott spent 12 years working in the middle market and small business lending groups for various banks in St. Petersburg, Fla. Elliott received her education from the University of Missouri in St. Louis and Eckerd College, St. Petersburg.

Terri Eischeid was promoted to vice president of private banking. Eischeid has worked with First National Bank for eight years as a private banker, beginning as a management trainee. Eiacheid is responsible for loan origination, business development, and relationship management. Eischeid has a bachelor's degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance and computer information systema from Wayne State College, Wayne, Neb.

* Nancy L. Vogt joined Bridgewater Bank, Bloomington, Minn., as an operations specialist. Vogt has more than 13 years of banking experience, including five years as vice president of operations.

* Associated Bane-Corp, Green Bay, Wis., announced the appointment of two directors: Eileen A. Kamerick and Carlos E. Santiago.

Kamerick is executive vice president, chief financial officer and chief administrative officer of Heidrick & Struggles International, Inc., an executive search and leadership consulting firm. Kamerick graduated from Boston College, received a law degree from the University of Chicago Law School and has an MBA in finance and international business from The Graduate School of Business of the University of Chicago.

Santiago is the seventh chancellor of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He is professor of economics. He previously was provost and vice president for academic affairs at the University of Albany, State University of New York and functioned as the chief operating officer of the campus. Santiago has a doctorate in economics from Cornell University and M.A. degrees in economics from Cornell University and the University of Puerto Rico.

* U.S. Bank, Minneapolis, has promoted Timothy Shafer to senior vice president and head of its foreign exchange department. He succeeds Pat Noble, who retired after 32 years with the company. Shafer, 45, has been with U.S. Bank since 2004. Prior to this promotion, he managed the foreign exchange sales group for the bank.

Shafer has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio, and has completed coursework in European business and culture at Ecole Superieure du Commerce de Nantes in Nantes, France.

* Jeff Plagge has joined Midwest Heritage Bank of Chariton, Iowa as president and CEO. He joined the bank in November of last year after serving as president and CEO of First National Bank and as president of the First of Waverly Corporation in Waverly, Iowa, for 13 years.

Midwest Heritage Bank, a federal savings bank with $125 million in assets, has eight offices and is owned by Hy-Vee, Inc., a $5 billion, employee-owned company operating in seven states.

Plagge was the 2006 winner of the Iowa Bankers Association's James A. Leach Award and he was named Banker of the Year by North * Western Financial Review magazine in Jan. 2006.
