ICBND CONVENTION NOTES
LaDonna Gatlin. youngest sibling in the famous musical Gatlin family, offered bankers a message of God, country and a commitment to serving others at the Independent Community Banks of North Dakota convention.
Gatlin said she and her brothers, Larry, Steve and Rudy, better known as the Gatlin Brothers, have been involved in the music industry almost their entire lives. She recalled a childhood of singing Gospel songs with her brothers accompanied by their mother on piano.
Gatlin spoke to bankers at the ICBND's traditional prayer breakfast.
New officers elected
Bankers elected 2007-2008 ICBND officers. They are: President David McAdoo of First National Bank & Trust, Williston; President-elect Scott Tewksbury of Heartland State Bank. Edgeley; Vice President Dave Kusler of the Bank of Hazelden: and Immediate Past President Richard Beali of Peoples State Bank, Velva.
ICBND gets ICBA check
The ICBND was presented with a royalty check of $22,040.74 by Independent Community Bankers of America Chairman-elect Cindy BIankenship at the ICBND convention business luncheon.
Blankenship, vice chairman and CEO of Bank of the West in Irving, Texas, and outgoing ICBND President Richard Beali both encouraged ICBND delegates to continue contacting state and federal elected officials to discuss issues important to community bankers.
