Chad A. Fett, CFP, has been named a certified financial planner at First State Bank & Trust in Bayport, Minn., where he is a vice president. Fett's responsibilities include trust and estate administration, retirement planning, investment asset allocation and financial planning. Fett has a business management and communications degree from Concordia College, St. Paul, Minn., and is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Colorado in Boulder.

* Delmar Rogers Jr. has joined Quad Cities Bank & Trust, Bettendorf, Iowa, as a financial institutions consultant in the bank's operations, lending and treasury departments. Rogers has more than 40 years banking experience. He is class representative for the Northwestern University Kellogg Graduate School of Management Class of 1970, Midwest representative for AIB and a faculty member at the Graduate School of Banking in Madison, Wis.

* Terrie Carew has joined First Business Bank-Milwaukee as an administrative associate. Carew has a bachelor's degree in communications from Slippery Rock University, Slippery Rock, Pa.

* Chad Baker has joined Rocky Mountain Bank in Kalispell, Mont., as a senior business banker. Baker graduated from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, and attended the Wells Fargo College of Credit program.

* Lake Community Bank in Long Lake, Minn., announced that Jan L. Dotseth has joined the bank as executive vice president and Patricia J. Koepke as vice president/information technology. Dotseth has more than 20 years banking experience. Koepke is a graduate of St. Cloud Technical College and St. Cloud State University, St. Cloud, Minn.

* Randy Dorn has joined First National Bank of Henning, Ottertail and Battle Lake, Minn., as a loan officer involved in installment, real estate and secondary market mortgage lending at the bank's Battle Lake office. Dorn is a graduate of Minnesota State University-Moorhead.

* First National Investment Banking of Omaha, Neb., has appointed Susan Janson managing director of First National Capital Markets. Janson joins First National Capital Markets after 13 years with Comerica securities. She is a graduate of Lawrence Technical College, Southfield, Mich.

* Security State Bank of Kenyon, Minn., named Todd Cordes the bank's new senior operations officer and cashier. Cordes will oversee the bank's operations, retail, finance and accounting areas. Before joining Security State Bank, Cordes was executive director of the Rochester, Minn., Civic Theater. Prior to that, Cordes was vice president of operations for Merchants Bank in Rochester.

* Michael Moskow, retired president and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, was recently named to the Discover Financial Services board of directors. Moskow, 69, joins the board of Riverwoods, 111.-based Discover after retiring from his Chicago Fed post on Aug. 31 after a 13-year tenure as head of the bank.

* The State Bank of Kensington, Minn., announced Kevin Noble, Jason Noble, Brian Schoenborn and Jon Hall joined its board of directors. Promoted are: Lisa Peterson to vice president of lending; Robyn Olson to vice president of retail operations; Carla Mattson to cashier and head of operations; and Rachel Schneider to BSA officer.

* Former LaSalle Bank president Larry Richman was named CEO of Chicagobased PrivateBancorp Inc. Richman, 55, succeeds Ralph Mandell as PrivateBancorp president and CEO. Mandell will retain the chairman of the board post.

* Paul F. Bognanno resigned from the top positions at North Central Bancshares Inc, Fort Dodge, Iowa, after four months on the job to pursue what Bognanno said called an "unexpected opportunity." Bognanno, who joined North Central on July 1, quit as president and chief executive officer and as CEO of its banking unit, First Federal Savings Bank of Iowa. Bognanno will continue serving as director of the holding company and subsidiary bank.
