ram Bornstein is an Associate Professor of Anthropology at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice, CUNY. In addition to studying police in New York City, Bornstein has done research in Israel-Palestine since the late 1980s. He has authored a number of articles and reviews on violence and work, as well as the book Crossing the Green Line between the West Bank and Israel (2002, University of Pennsylvania).
