Work Process Improvement Today, Oct 1998

Identitech, Inc. announced an OEM agreement with J&K Imaging. Under the agreement, Identitech will integrate J&K's DPUScan technology into Identitech's FYI 3.0 product line to provide both high speed batch and desktop scanning solutions. The product is already compatible with Identitech's QA Import module and this new relationship will provide a seamless integration with the new FYI 3.0 Power toolkit for direct image archiving and workflow production.

J&K software provides the ability to interface with almost all scanner manufacturers and can drive even the fastest scanners at their full-rated speed. It includes advanced bar code recognition engines, patch-code recognition, integrated OCR, and a CMS interface for the J&K CleanUp Master Station.

The J&K Advanced Scanner Kit includes all required drivers and tools necessary for software developers, including TWAIN 1.7, ActiveX Control, OCX for easy image enabling under Windows, and Windows API tool kits.

J&K Imaging is based in Atlanta and is a subsidiary of Janich & Klass Computertechnik GmbH, Wuppertal, Germany. J&K Imaging released its first completed PC-based real document imaging system in 1987.
