First Trust selects WSDOM for Image Capture System

Work Process Improvement Today, Dec 1998

Radian Systems, Inc. announced it has been awarded a contract for an Image Capture Subsystem (ICS) by First Trust Corporation in Denver, CO. First Trust is one of the nation's largest independent trust companies for self-directed retirement plans. The company administers more than 207,000 IRAs, business retirement plans, and custodial accounts with more than $17.6 billion in assets.

Radian Systems will implement WorldScan" and WSDOM TM (WorldScan Distributed Object Manager), two highly innovative image capture and processing systems, to replace First Trust's legacy, custom-developed image capture system. With Radian Systems' ICS solution, First Trust will improve its existing capture process by delivering reduced operating costs, improved production efficiency, and added functionality scalable to meet both current and future requirements.

With the implementation of WorldScan and WSDOM, First Trust will be able to scan and import images from its Kodak ImageLink 923D scanners seamlessly into the existing Optika Imaging System.
