Right-Angle Attachment

DREMEL
Working in tight spaces
Recently I was working on a model and had just completed the wing's center section. Without thinking, I glued into place the wing-alignment dowels that hold the outer panels in the correct positions, but I forgot to drill holes into the spars for the cabane attachment-bolt brackets. The glued-in dowels now made it impossible to drill the holes with my electric hand drill. What to do? Tearing out the two 3/6-inch dowels would not do. It's times like this that a right-angle drilling attachment comes in handy, and the folks at Dremel can help.
Designed to fit into tight spaces, the Dremel's new Right-Angle Attachment (no. 575) simply screws onto the end of any Dremel Multi-Pro rotary tool. The attachment case is molded of durable plastic and equipped with ball-bearing supports for the internal-spiral bevel gears and output shaft. The chuck and tool collet fit 1/8-inch-bit shafts, and a square-drive chuck is included to connect the attachment's drive to the rotary tool. Simply screw the square drive onto the tool's main shaft and tighten, then thread the attachment body into place; the coupler allows you to orient the attachment in 12 directions.
Whether you need to drill holes in a tight area or grind away part of a plywood bulkhead to make room for hardware in a fuselage, the attachment allows much greater versatility with your rotary cutting tool. At a street price of $39.95, the Dremel Right-Angle Attachment makes inaccessible parts instantly accessible. The quick-connect system makes it easy to attach in place of the tool's housing cap (no tools necessary). Give it a try; you'll wonder how you ever got along without it!
