Lancair 60 ARF

Model Airplane News, Mar 2003

Here's one for you giant-scale fans, and this one is one of a kind. The new Lancair 60 from Great Planes is the first ever almost-ready-to-fly model of a high-performance homebuilt airplane (the only one that we know of, anyway). Constructed of high-quality wood and strong, but light fiberglass and covered in MonoKote, the Lancair features aluminum-spar joiners for the stabilizer, a tricycle landing gear, painted-fiberglass wheel pants and a complete set of hardware. Its 80-inch wing is equipped with ailerons to provide the Lancair with incredible aerobatic capabilities. It requires a .61 to .75 2-stroke or a .914-stroke engine and sells for $299.99.
