YOUR BEST BUILDS

CORG AGATOL

CHINO, CA

TRAXXAS T-MAXX

Although Corg originally considered his T-Maxx as "just a toy," he's now a serious RC guy. He has incorporated a lot of aluminum from JT Racing Products. RC Alloys wheels, Pro-Line tires and a GMC Silverado body complete the truck. It's a great-looking ride and a cool picture, too!

LINDA GUSTAFSON

MILAN, TN

TEAM LOSI TRIPLE-X NT

After running in the novice ranks last season, Linda has moved up to the gas truck class with this Triple-X NT. As you may have guessed by the took of this truck, her favorite pro driver is Matt Francis. It has every red part Linda could find. The truck also has an O.S. .12 CV-R engine, Hitec servos, a Futaba 3PDF radio, Boca bearings and parts from Trinity, Lunsford and MIP The Pro-Line body's paint job and this picture are courtesy of Linda's crew chief/husband Mike.

AARON AVILES

ONTARIO, CA

HPI RS4 RACER 2

There's nothing like a few skulls to intimidate the competition, and Aaron's HPI BMW wears them well. This touring car has a Mugen .12 engine, a heavy-duty 2-speed transmission, Robinson pulleys and flywheel and a tuned pipe. Aaron says that he's getting better at the track, and that running the car is a great way to relax after work.

GREG MUTZ

BROWN DEER, WI

CUSTOM SNOWPLOW

Back in '98, Greg was our Reader's Ride of the Year winner, and it's great to see that he's still up to his old RC tricks. This time around, he created a snowplow; he used the driveline from a Kyosho Wild Dodge Ram and fitted it into the frame of a Tamiya Mountaineer. The hubs, tires and rims were modified from those found on a Kyosho Landmax, and the body is taken from the Tamiya Juggernaut; a Futaba radio system supplies the control. The plow is all metal, and it can be angled depending on Greg's plowing needs.

ERIK JOHNSON

SALEM, OR

TEAM ASSOCIATED RC10 T3 RTR

This Dodge stadium truck is ii-year-old Erik's first "real" RC vehicle, and he has many reasons to be proud of it. He saved up his money to buy the T3 and also painted the Pro-Line body himself. The truck features Hitec electronics, a P2k2 stock motor, Pro-Line Hole Shot tires in the rear and Edge tires up front.

DWAYNE MARTIN SAN DIEGO, CA NEW ERA NITRO DRAGSTER

It's no coincidence that this dragster looks like a rocket and moves like one, too! The New Era dragster measures 4 feet, and it features a 2-speed Centax clutch, an RB Concepts C4.21 engine, a CVEC tuned pipe, a JR radio and Team Orion internal stickers. Dwayne doesn't have any top speed or elapsed time (E.T.) figures yet, but he does plan to race the rail this year.

SCOTT COSTANZO

MOBILE, AL

TEAM ASSOCIATED RC 10133

If you believe in subtle imagery, then you'll be able to tell that Scott is trying to show in this picture that his buggy is a step above his competition. This B3 has a Novak Fusion ESC, a Kyosho Atom speed control, a Futaba radio and a Peak Club Sport 2400 battery. Other features include: a Factory Team blue screw kit and front kick-up plate, Lunsford turnbuckles, RPM ball cups, an RRP top shaft, an HG spur gear, MIP outdrives and a Pro-Line Deja-Vu 2 body.

TONY CASABLANCA

NSW, AUSTRALIA

TEAM ASSOCIATED TC3

Touring car racing is going stong in Australia. This is Tony's new Factory Team TC3. His Protoform Accord body is equipped with Orion graphics, and the chassis features a Core stock motor, an LRP speed control and a JR radio system. Note that the proper RC term for anything beneath the body on an Aussie touring car is still "chassis"- not "down under."
