Powell's legacy: 36 million dead

Hey, democracy might break out in New York City.

By the time Powell died last week, 36 million babies had been aborted in the years since he had helped formulate the Roe v. Wade decision. Almost that many young mothers had been scarred for life. Millions of families had been ruined.

Powell did repent of two things before he died, however. He regretted having supported the death penalty and having denied homosexuals a constitutional guarantee to engage in sodomy. Like USA Today said, he was their "model justice."
